The curriculum consists of dissection courses in Berlin/Germany, advanced dissection courses in Budapest/Hungry, clinical observer (master) courses in Zurich/Switzerland and an international fellowship up to six months. NEW GENERATION means the new generation of trainees, having the opportunity to grow up with these techniques, as well as the new education concept, providing a stepwise, comprehensive and practically oriented training in cranial Neurosurgery. All events are approved by the Neuroendoscopy Committee of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS).

The dissection course in Berlin is designed for neurosurgeons with limited experience in endoscopic neurosurgery. Didactically presented techniques will be simulated during extensive hands-on dissections and further enhanced by transmitted live-surgeries. This will improve quickly and safe your endoscopic skills, shorten your learning curve and help to implement endoscopic and minimal invasive techniques into the daily routine.

This event is hosted in Germany`s vivid capital Berlin. International experts will present lectures on endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques in brain-, skull base and vascular neurosurgery as well as endoscopic ventricular and transnasal surgery. During extensive hands-on dissection on high-quality human specimens you will have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment and observe live-surgeries demonstrating how endoscopy may enhance also your daily work.

Having passed this course you will be able to discuss latest advances in minimally invasive neurosurgery and use endoscopes for standard indications in cranial neurosurgery. We are sure, that this will be a very exciting training course for you.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Berlin.

The two course directors, Professor Nikolai Hopf and Professor Robert Reisch have been pupils of Professor Axel Perneczky, pioneer of endoscopic and minimal invasive neurosurgery, and have been using endoscopic techniques since their very beginning of neurosurgical training. They have conducted 29 international courses only within the last seven years, teaching more than 500 international participants. They understand very well that integration of minimally invasive concepts into the daily surgical routine is not simple and requires a strong and stable strategy. Therefore, in this course the ENDOMIN team will teach you how to:

  • introduce neuroendoscopy in the daily routine
  • shorten your learning curve
  • avoid complications
  • enhance your surgical and anatomical skills during extensive hands-on dissection on unique human specimen
  • apply endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery during live surgeries transmitted from the ENDOMIN Centre Hirslanden, Zurich/Switzerland

  • didactic experience with more than 500 international trainees
  • distinct international expert faculty
  • broad spectrum of didactic and practically oriented lectures
  • comprehensive anatomical lectures using 3D-HD technology
  • extensive hands-on training (> 9h) on high-quality human cadavers
  • live-surgery transmitted from the ENDOMIN Centre Hirslanden Zurich
