The ENDOMIN College is pleased to announce the “NEW GENERATION NEUROSURGICAL EDUCATION” in MINIMAL INVASIVE NEUROSURGERY. The course is dedicated to Neurosurgeons with interest in minimally invasive Neurosurgery.
Endoscopic and minimal invasive techniques have despite convincing advantages particular in patients with complex neurosurgical diseases not become standard yet. Thus, most neurosurgeons will be exposed to only limited numbers of endoscopic and minimal invasive procedures during their training. Furthermore, recently introduced non-surgical treatment options and restricted working hours lead to decreased surgical hands-on experience. Based on this development, an additional well structured, highly qualitative and practical training becomes extremely important to better understand the complex and individual anatomy of the brain and master non-standard surgical techniques for sustained improvement of the personal treatment quality.
Based on profound experience in conducting over 30 trainings courses, teaching more than 500 trainees only within the last 7 years the two founders came up with a new integral training concept called “Next Generation Neuroendoscopy Training”. It consists of a highly didactical and comprehensive practical training on cadavers, individual tailored observerships, a unique fellowship offering training in two exceptionally experienced ENDOMIN centers together with the opportunity for scientific work at a world-recognized anatomical laboratory as well as a worldwide on-site support to get things started smoothly.
Practical training is offered multiple times per year. It has the goal of providing an overview of MIN techniques in the treatment of intracranial neurosurgical diseases. Specific knowledge in endoscopic and minimal invasive Neurosurgery is not mandatory.
Practical training will last 3 days and includes lectures, dissection on human fixed specimen and transmission of live-surgeries.
Observation training is offered multiple times per year. It has the goal of providing tips and tricks for the application of MIN techniques in the treatment of intracranial neurosurgical diseases. Specific knowledge in endoscopic and minimal invasive Neurosurgery is not mandatory.
Observation training will last 3 days and includes lectures and live-surgeries observed from inside the OR. Furthermore, a factory tour at Karl Storz is included providing unique insights in the production of endoscopic and minimal invasive equipment.
